About our special guest

Rob Beatty

Founder of the Kentucky Black Bourbon Guild

Rob Beatty’s relentless drive to uplift communities, uncover hidden histories, and create pathways for success defines his life and work. As a serial entrepreneur, thought leader in the bourbon industry, and founder of the Kentucky Black Bourbon Guild (KBBG), he has reimagined what inclusivity looks like in Kentucky’s bourbon industry and beyond. His contributions extend to professional development, mentorship, and cultural preservation, empowering individuals to dream bigger and achieve more.

The Kentucky Black Bourbon Guild was born six years ago with a simple yet transformative question: Who are the untold pioneers behind Kentucky bourbon? During a visit to the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History, Beatty discovered a glaring absence of African-American representation in bourbon’s historical narrative. Motivated by this omission, Beatty launched KBBG in 2018, a groundbreaking initiative to preserve hidden histories, promote inclusivity, and celebrate the legacy of African Americans in bourbon culture.
